On September 12, Hosei University held its Fall 2026 Entrance Ceremony to welcome new students entering the Global MBA (GMBA) Program and other Hosei English-language Degree Programs, where all courses are conducted in English.
President Diana Khor warmly welcomed the new undergraduate and graduate students to the Hosei University community, offering an encouraging message as they begin their academic journey.

“Opportunities matter only if you are willing to take that first step—to move beyond what feels comfortable, to make use of what is available to you, and sometimes to begin before you know exactly where the path will lead.”
— Diana Khor, President of Hosei University
Fall 2026 Entrance Ceremony

Following the President’s address, a representative of the newly enrolled Global MBA students delivered a speech on behalf of the incoming class, expressing their enthusiasm and aspirations for the journey ahead.
The heads of each English-language Degree Program were also introduced, including Professor Kenneth Pechter, PhD, Director of the Global MBA Program. The ceremony provided an opportunity to formally welcome the students who have joined the GMBA Program for the 2026 academic year.

A Warm Welcome to the New GMBA Class
Following the formal ceremony, the new GMBA students gathered for a welcome party, where they had the opportunity to get to know one another in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Together with Professor Pechter, students shared their cultural backgrounds, educational experiences, and perspectives on life in Japan. With students from diverse backgrounds coming together, the gathering offered a glimpse of the international and collaborative environment that characterizes the GMBA Program.
Over the next year and a half, the new students will pursue their MBA studies through evening classes on weekdays and daytime classes on Saturdays. They will undertake a highly selective and intensive GMBA curriculum, designed to develop the knowledge and skills needed to address challenges in today’s global business environment.
As part of the program, students will also complete two internship projects during designated periods of their studies, gaining practical experience alongside their academic learning.
We are delighted to welcome the new GMBA class to Hosei University and look forward to seeing their growth, collaboration, and achievements throughout their time in the program.
